The Coach

One of the best teachers of mine happened to be the much adulated game in my part of the world, Cricket. It is simply impossible to think of not having this wonderful pass-time for a lot of my yesteryear. When I do look back quickly, except the time I spent preparing for some uninteresting school tests,  I have always had lots of fun, mostly, playing many different versions of this beautiful game. The simple question is what can a game like Cricket could possibly teach a boy who engaged with it merely out of interest and as a pass-time?. The answer is, a lot!. So, what follows is my attempt to recollect some of my learning I had from my long time teacher. I had the opportunity to get to learn first-hand many dazzling lessens which I realize as I could see clearly.

The learning happened perhaps in the biggest classes I have ever had access into. They all were natural, open, free and more practical than from any institute I can think of having enrolled with. There were invisible boundaries to break, compete with rules, face hard times and celebrate as a group. I have seen loss pulling people together closer than a victory and celebration is not the end at all the times. It is here, I had come to realize few true qualities of life, hardship and pleasure, win and loss, and, the power of people.

It appears to me years later that the coaching I have had has been playing crucial role in my many steps. It makes me think of an unknown place familiar and a total stranger as someone I have played with. The result – I would write here all of my experiences with my coach as I go.

Welcome!

I’m happy to welcome you to my weblogs. Thanks very much for visiting.

It has been almost a year since I first thought about having a blog and according to my lazy clock, I’m doing it in time. I’ve no clear agenda what am I going to write about and not really sure how it would be useful to anyone out there. But, I’ve enough trust in time which will add more meaning to our efforts.

Hopefully!
